Title: Director of Children's Ministries
Hometown: San Clemente
Family info: Husband - Don; 3 adult children who are married; 9 grandchildren - "the joy of our lives"
What is your role at FPCF?
My role is to serve as Director of Children's Ministries
What is the best part about your role?
I LOVE KIDS! I love seeing kids excited about participating in the various ministries we offer. I enjoy seeing parents happy that they have found a church where their kids are growing spiritually, loving it, and can't wait to come! I enjoy seeing kids make new friends, friends who will be there for them during the tough times of maturity in years to come.
JUST FOR FUN:
What do you think is the best invention of the last 100 years? Why?
I can't imagine how we managed before two things: the microwave and the cell phone!
What makes you laugh?
The comics in the newspaper always make me laugh.
What makes you cry?
A sentimental greeting card. My daughter always says that she and her family have given me a perfect card if I cry while reading it!
If you could live at any point in history, when would it be and why?
I have two: I would have loved to have been around during the time of the disciples in Acts AND I would have loved to have been with John Calvin and the other reformers in Europe in the 14th and 15th centuries as they prayerfully, with God's help, wrote significant books and papers, gave speeches, put their lives on the line, and provided excellent leadership to the people of God who left a stagnant, impersonal church to form a vibrant Reformed and Presbyterian way of worship and church organization.
What is one thing people might not know about you?
I spent a summer in Guatemala as a student missionary while attending Wheaton College - it was a life-changing experience!
