Title: Director of Kid's Connetion After School Care Program
Hometown: Fullerton, CA
Family info:
Amazing husband, David
Awesome son, Zachary, Age 20
Angelic daughter, Rebecca, age 17

What is your role at FPCF?
I adminsiter the after school child care program at FPC Fullerton

Why FPC?
My children attended VBS here and my daughter and I volunteer to work it when we can.  I was asked several years ago to be the Director of Kid's Connection.  I was married (25 years ago) and have attended another christian church for years, but have grown to love the people here at FPC.  I have worked wiht some amazing, talented, and giving people here - including pastors, staff, and especially ... the volunteers.

JUST FOR FUN:

If you had an unplanned (spontaneous) day off from work, what would you do?
Well, if my family were off too, I would spend it with them - maybe going to a movie and out to lunch.  If I were by myself, I would stay in my pj's all day catching up on my reading and taking a long afternoon nap!

What tradition(s) in your family enhanced your spiritual growth?
Family devotions, daily prayer, and of course - all the Easter and Christmas traditions such as advent wreaths, resurrection eggs, church plays/musicals, etc.  A couple of months ago, I started sending daily text messages to my kids of bible verses, devotions, inspirational quotes, etc.  They may not appreciate it now, but when I am watching from above, I hope they remember that their mom wanted them to know that God loves them and wants to be their best friend.

If you could trade places with anyone for a day who would that be?
Non-living: it would have to be one of the disciples.  Imagine walking and talking with Jesus, how cool would that be!
Living: it would have to be anyone who has an amazing voice, maybe Faith Hill or Carie Underwood.  I would love to be able to sing, really sing ... what a gift!

What is your bucket list (if money and time were unlimited what would you do)?
1.  I am a huge American history buff.  I went with my daughter on her 8th grade trip, but didn't have enough time to do and see everything.  I would plan a trip with my family starting at Jamestown and ending in Washington, D.C. - visiting all the historical sites and museums.
2.  I would build a lake front home somewhere in the south, and have my family and friends come and stay wiht me all the time.
3.  Travel wiht my family and take my parents to Hawaii and Alaska!

What is one thing people might not know about you?
That I love to have tea parties.  I have all the fancy serving pieces and make all the goodies: fruit, scones, Devonshire cream, tea sandwiches and desserts.
