 ::GROWTH GROUPS:: 

Looking for a bible study? To grow your circle of friends? To just try something new in 2012? With 11 Growth Group classes being offered this winter, there is ample opportunity for you to participate, & child care can be provided if needed.  Classes will begin the week of January 29th and conclude the week of March 4th, 2012.  Registration information below.

 

On Sunday:
  • Sermon Feedback: Class 101 meets at 10:30 am, led by Jim Bauer.  If you love discussing what you learned from Sunday’s sermon, this class is for you! Just bring your coffee/donuts/Bible.
  • (New) Developing Capable Leaders: Class 102 will meet on Sunday at 4:00 PM, led by Pastor Emily McColl. This class will focus on discussing the qualities and skills required to be a leader, using biblical references to develop the theme.
 
On Monday:
  • Outlive Your Life by Max Lucado: Class 201 meets at 10:00 am. Renette Laase will be leading this class in which Max Lucado presents 4 sessions that follow real life stories of people who are making their lives count. Each session will show you not just why but how to live intentionally so that everything in your life-your time, your skills, your passions-all add up to something bigger than you. Per participant cost $10.
  • Crazy Love by Francis Chan: Class 202 meets at 6:30 pm. This class for young adults will be led by David Krall.  Crazy Love and all of its material are a wonderful motivator and encouragement to lead you to biblically examine yourself and radically obey Jesus. Chan is easy to read and communicates God's Word in a way that's biblical, humble, and very passionate.
 
On Tuesday:
  • Men’s Bible Study: Class 301 meets at 7:00 am. Chuck Zincke will be leading this group through the Book of Revelation. The class is held at Coco’s Restaurant and Bakery!
  • Jesus Calling by Sara Young: Class 302 meets at 3:30 pm. Led by Mary Jane Lent, this class will lead participants to have a closer relationship with Jesus by reading Biblical references each day, journaling your responses and discussing them as a group. On Wednesday:
  • Sermon Feedback: Class 401 meets at 10:00 am, led by Pastor Duncan. If you love discussing what you learned from Sunday’s sermon, this class is for you! Just bring yourself and your Bible.
  • 40 Days in the Word by Rick Warren: Class 402 will meet at 4:30 pm, led by Betsy Azariah and Cathy Monson.This series will explore how to love the Word, learn the Word, live the Word-while exploring and meditating on the Book of Philippians, the Gospel of Mark, the Book of James and Psalm 1. Per participant cost $12.
  • Golf’s Sacred Journey: 7 Days on the Links of Utopia: Class 403 will meet at 7:00 pm, led by Dan Jenkins and John Monson.“7 Days on the Links of Utopia” is not just a story about golf; it’s a story about the journey of life. It’s about a man’s discovery of his identity, his purpose, and his transformation, leading to a new road of significance. This class is meant to help you move out of your comfort zone and enjoy your journey!
 
On Thursday
  • A Study of World Religions: Class 501 will meet at 10:00 am, led by Pastor Josh Matthews at Morningside Retirement Community. This class will focus on learning about the world’s major religions, their difference and similarities, and the roles they play in our communities and the world.
  • (New Time) Developing Capable Leaders: Class 502 will meet on Thursday at 10:00 AM, led by Pastor Emily McColl. This class will focus on discussing the qualities and skills required to be a leader, using biblical references to develop the theme.
  • Pursuing Integrity: Class 503 will meet at 7:00 pm, led by Tom Long and Linda Powell. This class will focus on the Book of Daniel and the circumstances in his life that God used to help mold and define him into a spiritual leader of integrity.  If you long to meet God in your challenging times, Daniel is ready to show you the way. Per participant cost $10.
