The office of deacons as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ.
It is the duty of deacons first of all to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith.

* Sharing our joy and faith with others
* Growing in our personal spirituality
* Inviting others to join with us in the work of the church
* Providing preparation and take down of the elements for communion
* Serving communion to the homebound upon request
* Visiting regularly the home bound and hospitalized
* Greeting all comers at Sunday church services
* Providing special services as requested for meals, transportation and small repairs
* Hosting receptions for memorial services
