::MUSIC @ FPC::

Music plays an important part in Reformed Worship.  Throughout centuries the rich musical traditions of our faith have spoken to the hearts of people.  We believe that music engages our senses and is our response to the mystery of God.  Because of this, we strive to use a variety of fresh musical elements: from our pipe organ and Kirk Choir, to the Handbell and Children’s Choirs, to the modern sung responses of Taizé and Iona, we are a community of faith seeking to worship God in times of exuberant praise, joy, contemplation and reverence.  The hymns and songs sung in worship range from the most ancient, to the most modern.

Special services and musical events are held throughout the year including:
    Advent & Lenten Vespers Services
    Christmas Eve Lessons & Carols
    Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday services.
    The Friends of Music Concert Series featuring organ, instrumental and vocal recitals, and choral-orchestral concerts.  To learn more, or to become a member of the Friends of Music, click here.

Musical Ensembles:

The Kirk Handbells – Our Handbell ringers bring the joy of music to our sanctuary on a monthly basis.  Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Please contact the director if you are interested in joining! cgravis@fpc-fullerton.org.

3 Children’s Choirs -  A wonderful opportunity for children to learn about God through music.  Our children’s choirs are part of the Kid’s Club program that meets on Wednesday afternoons.  Please contact the director of children’s ministries to have your child enrolled today! ltaylor@fpc-fullerton.org.

People of all musical talents and abilities are invited to join in the music making at First Presbyterian.  Whatever instrument you bring, guitar, percussion, cello, or your voice, you are welcome here!
