::MUSIC @ FPC::

Music plays an important part in Reformed Worship.  Throughout centuries the rich musical traditions of our faith have spoken to the hearts of people.  We strive to use a variety of fresh musical elements in worship: from our pipe organ and Kirk Choir, to the Worship Team, to the Handbell and Children’s Choirs, to the modern sung responses of Taizé and Iona, we are a community of faith seeking to worship God in times of exuberant praise, joy, contemplation and reverence.  The hymns and songs sung in worship range from the most ancient, to the most modern.

Special services and musical events are held throughout the year including:

  • Advent & Lenten Vespers Services
  • Christmas Eve Lessons & Carols
  • Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday services.
  • The Friends of Music Concert Series featuring organ, instrumental and vocal recitals, and choral-orchestral concerts.  To learn more, or to become a member of the Friends of Music, click here.
